What are contract-grade upholstery fabrics?
Contract-grade upholstery fabrics are used in high-traffic areas and are therefore specifically designed to be more resistant to wear and tear than regular fabrics. In comparison to domestic fabrics, contract fabrics often contain special finishes, making them waterproof or fire-resistant for example.
The qualities of our contract fabrics
There are many different treatments we can apply to make our fabrics ready for the contract market. An example of this is Easy 2 Clean technology. This stain-repelling treatment allows for easy stain removal. All you need is a clean cloth and water to make the stain disappear. The areas that were stained before can be cleaned as often as necessary. This does not harm the fabric or the technology itself. Other finishes we can apply to our contract fabrics are:
- Heavy backing (LAM)
- Light backing (1030)
- Flame retardant
- Flame retardant crib 5
- Water repellent
- Foam 3 mm
These finishes can be applied to a multitude of our upholstery fabrics, such as solid fabrics.
